About the Trick or Treat Game & Points

at Haunted Nawlins Howloween 2024

YOU MUST WEAR your Trick or Treat HUD ! <--

First Step - Get a Trick-or-Treat HUD!

1.) Go to Arrival Building at center of Flox sim.
Location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Flox/128/128/28

2.) Find two Trick-or-Treat HUDs on wall: Free and Deluxe.
Both work fine! If you want extra perks, grab the Deluxe version. Perks include fun gag gifts, higher chance for treats, and ability to teleport through Trick-or-Treat Doors.

3.) Wear your HUD always, to maximize your points.

Second Step - Explore the Sim!

There are many ways to collect points here!

~~~
TRICK OR TREAT
    While wearing the Trick or Treat HUD, knock on doors throughout the sim!
    -> Make sure the light is on! If so, you'll get points.
    -> With the Deluxe HUD, you will also get treats.
    -> Careful! No light? No points, no treats, and maybe a trick!

MAJOR CHARACTERS
    Interact with the roaming Characters who have name tags.
    -> Start a conversation by CLICKING them (one person at a time).
        - They are not masters of conversation but can do simple chats.
        - Each has some hidden triggers--if you say the right thing, they may give you points!
        - Be creative. What would a monster like to hear?
    -> You can also bring them specific things. What do they want? You will have to find out.
    -> Warning: If you run into the Characters (or vice versa!) there will be consequences!

HUNT/CHASE GAME
    Some characters, especially the Rougarou in the Bayou, likes to play Hunt/Chase.
    -> If they flee from you, you can "catch" them. That equals points.
    -> If they catch you, though, you lose points.

FAIR GAMES.
    Look in the Fair/Circus area for the games, and play them. They are free.
    -> Important: these are games of chance, so you may LOSE points just as easily as gain them.

ZOMBIE CORNBREAD TOSS!
    Find "Victor's Voodoo & Vittles" shop inside French Quarter (building has porch & green frames).
    -> Inside to left, there's a large yellow "cornbread" on table. Click it.
    -> It attaches a cornbread you can throw at zombies. That gives points!
    -> You can get only a few cornbread points per day.

MEET DEATH
    Kneel before Death and plead your fate! He will judge you Guilty or Innocent... and award points accordingly.

BRIBE THE CHARACTERS.
    You heard me--pay them off! LOL
    -> Stand beside them, right-click and choose "Pay" to donate any amount of money.
   -> They will then give you a random point reward!
    -> Reward point totals: Minimum 25%, Maximum 125% of the tip donated.
    -> Your donation helps support this and future events. Thank you!

Third Step - Trade Points for Prizes!

We have unique, premium prizes waiting for you. They are FREE when you trade your points for them.

(If you run out of patience, don't want to bother with points, or want to send them to a friend... you can also purchase the prizes at discount.)

Visit the Points Redemption Area at the French Market:

    -> Find a Premium Prize you like. Here's how to get it:
        1) Make sure you are wearing your Trick or Treat HUD!
        2) Click the prize you want.
        3) Your HUD will ask for confirmation: Do you want to get this?
        4) To say YES, click the GREEN ARROW on the bottom-left of your HUD.
        5) (Assuming you have enough points.) The appropriate amount is deducted, and you get prize. :D
